The Bar exams
Of the top ten bar topnotchers this year, only one is a graduate of the U.P. College of Law. Ederic is interested in my reactions…
My father flunked the bar exams
I hate being underestimated so for background purposes firstly I have to tell you my father is a genius. He topped the board exam few years ago in electrical engineering and third in another board exam. He graduated Magna cum…

marami reasons dyan sa problema ng bar:
The usual excuse is that UP doesn’t trail students to pass the bar, it prepares them for the practice in the Grand Manner…but how can students proceed to the great practice without passing the bar?
from my own observations as recent UP Law graduate and bar passer, there really has been a dearth in competent professors at UP Law….the Deanship controversy a few years back has decimated the ranks of professors who ought to be there…they all left…
the batch I took the bar with (since I got delayed by a year) is the very first batch that came under the new administration…
mabuti naman at recently, may nadagdag na magagaling…pero yung mga fundamental, basic subjects eh dapat na tinuturo ng mga may experience sa pagtuturo at practice..civil procedure, criminal procedure, civil law, commercial law, criminal law, to count a number of them…
matagal-tagal na ring complacent ang UP. Anyway, yung bar exam din as it is given today needs to be reformed and reformatted.
