On top of covering the biggest news stories this Undas, the country’s longest-running morning show “Unang Hirit” and leading primetime newscast “24 Oras” will also be mounting Serbisyong Totoo booths — one at the Manila North Cemetery and another at the Manila South Cemetery — from Monday, October 31, until Wednesday, November 2.
The Serbisyong Totoo booths will be providing free and unlimited water refill; charging stations for phone and gadgets; security name tags for kids; and other freebies such as candies, handy fan, garbage bags, candles, and stem flower.
And in partnership with the Philippine Red Cross, first aid services will also be made available in the booths. The Serbisyong Totoo booths will also continue its “Palit Plastic Bottle” project, which promotes recycling and helps reduce the amount of garbage in cemeteries during Undas. The bottles will be donated to Tzu Chi Foundation which will convert them into chairs and blankets to be donated to charitable institutions. Those who will surrender bottles will get tokens in exchange.
The public can avail of these free services from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m. on October 31 and November 1; and from 5 a.m. to 1 p.m. on November 2.
