Bilang pakikiisa sa pagsisimula ng paggunita sa ika-24 na anibersaryo ng EDSA People Power Revolt, nagsuot kami ng ilang mga kasamahan ko ng damit na kulay dilaw kanina.
Bukod sa pagpapatugtog ng “Handog ng Pilipino sa Mundo,” “Bayan Ko,” at iba pang mga awit na sumusundo sa mga alaala ng pag-aalsa, nagpakuha rin kami ng larawan habang naka-Laban sign.
Sa Twitter, sinimulan na rin naming gamitin ang hashtag na #YellowEDSA upang tipunin ang tweets tungkol sa Yellow Revolution of 1986.
Mahalagang alalahanin ang diwa at pagnilay-nilayan ang papel EDSA 1 sa ating kasaysayan, lalo na sa gitna ng mga balita ngayon, gaya ng paghingi ng emergency powers para kay Gloria Arroyo (diyan nagsisimula yun!), pahayag ng anak ng diktador isang “kabiguan” ang EDSA, ang umano’y tila pag-angkin at paggamit ni Noynoy Aquino at ng Liberal Party sa People Power, at pagiging bukas ng ilang presidential candidates sa paglilibing sa diktador sa libingan ng mga bayani.
