Dahil sa post ni Sam, pumasok sila ni Catriona sa trending topics ng Twitter. Naging trending topic din ang dating kasintahan ni Catriona, ang Filipino-German actor na si Clint Bondad. Si Clint ang very supportive na boyfriend ni Catriona noong kandidata siya sa Miss Universe. Naghiwalay sila pagkatapos ng beauty pageant.

Catriona Elisa Magnayon Gray ang buong pangalan niya. Tandaan na Gray — hindi Grey — ang apelyido ni Catriona. Hindi niya kamag-anak si Christian Grey.
