Paying homage to communities built through partnerships established in the last 40 years, Savers Group Holdings Inc. officially launched the brands under its umbrella in a grand event held last April 30 at Best Western Plus Metro Clark in Angeles City.

Formally launched were: J.A.D. Savers Development, under which the hotels, restaurants, leasing, and recreation; Savers Industrial and Building Solutions (SIBS), the firm that handles engineering design, mechanical solutions and commercial appliances; Volkslift, which offers premier elevators and escalators; Savers Air Solutions, which specializes in air conditioning sales, installation, and maintenance; Tandem & Steffen, the aesthetics expert handling interior design, construction, modules, and signages; Simon and Stanley, the arm that runs the hotel and restaurants within Subic; and Fortune Tea House, which operates the Hong Kong Restaurant Chain bearing the same name.

Savers Group also launched the SGH Membership Card Program, the incentive program that offers perks to patrons of the companies under the Savers umbrella. Fellowship opened the special day, with the SGH Golf Cup held at Pradera Verde Golf and Country Club. Representatives from partner firms and friends happily spent the morning at the greens and gave their best swings here.

The major highlight of the event is the announcement of SGH Chairman Jaime “Jack” Uy that he is “passing the baton” to his sons Jansen and Justine, who are “taking the reins “with their official appointment as Group President and COO, and Executive Vice President, respectively.

Calling the event as both sentimental and monumental, Chairman Jack Uy looked back with humility at the past four decades with Jack’s Video World, as the business’ take-off point, and in the process expressed gratitude to all the partners who have played significant roles in making Savers Group the monumental entity that it is now.

Uy is confident that his next generation will “propel the companies under the Savers Group into higher, newer, bigger and brighter heights.”

While with his “semi-retirement,” Chairman Jack Uy proudly takes the sidelights, with sons — President and COO Jansen and EVP Justine now on centerstage — he gave the assurance that “I will always make myself available not only to our team but to our partners, vendors, and customers like you.”
