If that’s you’re impression that someone’s acting like Hitler, what can I say? You read it that way, so be it. And Roland Barthes must be right. “The Author is Dead”. Weight comes from the reader, not from the author. If a subject is written as a figment of the imagination but is read by everybody else as “real”, what can I say? Sometimes we read quacks like scientists. Or it can be the other way around.

How? By suggesting that bloggers should act like journalists? I’m sorry to disappoint you my friend but there’s a huge trench separating those two ‘things’. You don’t fit the right glove with the left hand. Neither do you fit the one with the other. It just doesn’t compute.

Anyway, you’re right ederic, no sacred cows. Nadda. So no need to be mind-boggled by all these things.

No sacred cows in the blogosphere my friend. Anybody is free game. While respect for one person is one thing, criticism for one’s position on certain issues is quite another.

Don’t get me wrong, I have a high regard for LVT for his opinion on certain issues that matter. But that does not mean he can easily get away with his position on the blogosphere/bloggers/blogging.

No sacred cows. One can deal with it. Or one can just stick to mainstream media.

hi ederic, oo the professor didn't say that all bloggers are irresponsible, but because he didn't cite any examples of responsible blogging (such as yours or manolo quezon's) it was like he was just being careful, just in case meron nga. i'm not saying that blog works don't deserve criticism, they do, but it would help if critics could see beyond blogs like brian gorrell's, on one extreme, and dean bocobo's on the other. angela's last blog post..salamat, “sassy”
