The National Shock Jock
Siege, who describes himself as “a frustrated pop star, frustrated soap opera star, and frustrated Nobel Prize awardee for popularity” has
a new blog called Siege, The National Shock Jock: Your Daily Dose of Abusive Behavior. He posts animated pictures of himself doing the otso-otso dance as well as his mug shots alongside that of Jerry Yan’s; writes about imaginary encounters with Kris Aquino; argues that Mr. Suave is a Christian song, Sexbomb’s Spageti Song is Satanic, and Marcos crony and cocolevy fund klepto Danding Cojuangco would make a good president. You may not always agree with him but you’d surely be entertained by his often creative posts.

Rebelpixel Productions
My favorite webmaster, Markku Seguerra–whose well-designed pages prompted me to send him a fan mail in the late 90s–recently launched his new domain, rebelpixel.com. As always, his pages are clean and elegant. He writes about Web design, photography, PHP development, sports, and other things that interest him. There are also bits of personal entires now and then. Expect to see him in the webbies next year.

Visionary 3.0
Peyups.com columnist and Tinig.com writer Lagsh recently launched his site’s new layout. The new theme looks cleaner and less cluttered, he says. The content, however, is still as funny and witty as always. See the weird pics of himself and his friends–the output of Lagsh’s playing with his photo editor. Among the recent topics in his blog are his high grades, why GMA-7 is better than ABS-CBN, and of course, ang walang kamatayang Friendster.

Black and White Dreams
Handyfemme, ang Prinsesa ng Tinig.com, who is now in Canada, is back to blogging. Despite her distance, her heart remains here as she continues to discuss Philippine issues and constantly mentions how she misses UP. She writes about Friendster encounters, too! Visit her to relieve her homesickness.

Soulfly
Alias Dorian Gray shares his brand of poetry–the kind of literature that merges itself with the people’s continuing struggle.

Novocaine for the Tired Soul
Alias Novocain, my cyberfriend the fiery activist, is back and writes about his life, his craving for dope, and Friendster, among other things!

Orange Heavens
Student journalist Erwilyn Lei A. Solito of SLU Baguio, who was one of my “students” in the online publishing class of Lunduyan 2003, shares her poems and essays about various topics including a CEGP officer, San Beda, eyeballs, and nationalism. A true journalist, she never fails to give credit to where it is due–she acknowledges Bob Ong’s influence in her site as well as her other inspirations.

The Lorma Highlights, the official publication of Lorma Colleges, Inc. of Carlatan, San Fernando City, has been online as early as 1998.
